Research and Citations

Much of your written work in CSOM courses may include a research component, which means you will be referring to a variety of sources.  Citations are how you identify and credit the articles, websites, books -- any sources -- you include in your work.  Instructors will often specify that you use a particular format for your citations.  Some of these include:  The Chicago Manual of Style, MLA (Modern Language Association), APA (American Psychological Association).

Fortunately, there are a number of resources to help you format citations or even do it for you!  You can listen to the Writing that Works podcast with Carolyn Lilyard, Business Reference Librarian, for some excellent suggestions.
